Lint
The absorbancy of a towel is found in the tip of the loops. As you wash and dry Peacock Alley towels, the loops open, adding to the absorbancy rate. As the loops open, loose extra fibers may lint in the initial washing process; not unlike plush carpet that has to be vacuumed several times before the excess fibers are removed. Our thick, luxurious towels may need to be washed a few times before the lint in the filter diminishes after the drying process.
Laundering
Fabric softeners are not recommended for Egyptian cotton, since the yarns are already soft and silky. A drying sheer may be used to fluff the towel in the drying process. This will also expedite the initial linting. Due to the wet finishing process, our towels are completely colorfast; thu there is no bleeding of colors. The towels should be washed with a mild bleach-free detergent or specialty linen wash in warm water. Tumble dry low.
