wholesales furnishing fabrics, wallcoverings, upholstery, bed and
bath under the Designers Guild and other brands throughout Europe
and worldwide.
Tricia Guild founded Designers Guild in
Chelsea, London in 1970, one of the most influential and creative
forces in Interior Design. Since then, the company has achieved
international renown for a wide variety of home and lifestyle
products; most notably huge and varied ranges of furnishing fabrics
and wallcoverings, bed linen, blankets and towels, furniture,
carpets and rugs, paint, stationery and leather goods.
The company is headed by Tricia Guild, founder
and Creative Director and her brother Simon Jeffreys, Chief Executive.
The Designers Guild philosophy is to combine creativity and innovation
with the highest levels of quality: quality of design, product,
service and people.
From its roots in London the company has
grown extensively to become a major global brand in home furnishing.
The Designers Guild group now employs over 200 people in the
United Kingdom and overseas with wholesale offices and showrooms
in London, Paris and Munich and a network of agents and distributors
in over 40 countries worldwide. Over 65% of sales are overseas
and Designers Guild has twice won the Queens Award for export.The
group has also launched a licensing division to manufacture and
sell fabrics and wallpapers under other brand names, utilising
the extensive sales and distribution network built up to handle
the Designers Guild brand, namely Ralph Lauren, William Yeoward,
Cath Kidston and Jasper Conran.
The group is based in a modern purpose built Head
office in Notting Hill London and has its principal flagship store
in the Kings Road, London and a 66,000 sq.ft. distribution centre
in West London. The Designers Guild product range is sold by leading
home furnishing outlets, department stores and Interior Designers
throughout the UK and overseas.
