The Story
Behind Serena and Lily After being thoroughly impressed by the store, aptly rumored to be the best in the San Francisco Bay Area, Serena meets the owner - Lily Kanter. Lily sold only the best of what was out there, but was still bored and frustrated by the lack of options in the linens market. Similarly, Serena felt that what she would want in her nursery was simply not on the market...not even close. Ever the businesswoman, (having spent the years prior to opening the store as Microsoft's Retail Industry Exec.) Lily asks to look through Serena's portfolios. First - Decorative Painting, Second - Artwork, Third - Textile Design. By the end of that meeting, " Serena & Lily" was born. |
